Christopher Jackson is entering his third year at MAHS as Head Coach of the Monroe Area Hurricanes. In Jackson's first two seasons with the program the the Hurricanes finished with an impressive 33 total wins. The Hurricane Boys also made back to back State Playoff appearances. Jackson looks to build off of that success heading into the 16-17 season.
As a native to North Palm Beach, FL, Jackson spent the past five seasons as the Assistant Head Varsity Coach at his alma mater, Palm Beach Gardens High School. In addition, he coached football and softball as well.
Jackson began playing basketball at a very young age and played throughout his college years. He played at Palm Beach State College for 2 seasons before transferring to Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri until attending Florida State University for his degree in criminology. He received his Masters degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia in Sports Health Science. While completing his masters program, he successfully completed an internship at Georgia Institute of Technology in strength and conditioning for the football and both men and women's basketball teams.
As a veteran collegiate basketball player himself, Jackson understands the fundamentals of basketball and the steps necessary to become a successful student athlete. He looks forward to working with the Hurricanes and leading them to a successful season.
